Questions about ordering magazine subscriptions from us, when to expect your first issue, how renewals work and other questions about your magazine subscription order.


Starting time for your magazine subscription is based on the number of times it is published each year. The schedules for each type of magazine are as follows:

1) Magazines printed weekly: 4-10 weeks
2) Magazines printed monthly: 6-12 weeks
3) Magazines with irregular schedules: 6-14 weeks.

Magazines ordered during the Christmas tend to take on the longer side of these ranges whereas those ordered during the middle of the summer tend to start in the lower end of the ranges. This is due simply to the ordering volume levels received by the publishers. Curious why it takes so long for your first issue to begin? See the next question for an answer.

You may wonder why it takes so long for your first issue arrive. Magazine subscriptions ordered from any source, including directly from the publisher will take from 4-14 weeks to begin arriving at your home. The reason is fairly simple but unavoidable. In order to save on costs, the number of magazines printed by a publisher for a certain month's issue is based on the current number of their subscribers. Depending on the frequency of the delivery of a magazine, publishers can print an issue up to three months in advance so they base the number of magazines to be printed, say for instance for the December Issue, on the number of subscribers they have in September. So, if you order your subscription in November, the December issue has likely already been printed and the publisher does not plan to print any more, but you will be counted among subscribers when they print the March Issue in January.

Your first issue can take up to 14 weeks to start (see our other frequently asked questions for more information). We can submit a question to the publisher after the order has been with them for 8 weeks to determine its status. If after 14 weeks, your magazine has not arrived, we will gladly refund your money.

We do not subscribe to the policy of automatically renewing your subscription. We believe that it does not give you, the customer, the chance to say whether or not you are certain you would like to actually continue to receive this subscription. We will send out reminder emails to you when renewal time comes so that you can renew your subscription again through us.

No, the shipping and handling fee is already included in the cost of the magazine subscription.

Yes, the magazine subscriptions we sell can be delivered to an APO zip code at no additional charge.
